Dr. J. Khera

Dr. Jasbir Khera grew up on a farm in India, and he has been around animals his whole life. He was always out doing chores and spending time with their menagerie. That is where his interest in animals grew as he did. He eventually went to school there for veterinary science and received his degree. When he moved to the States, he knew he wasn't done yet. He started again, getting his degree to be licensed in the US. In the process, Dr. Khera also became certified in several other areas within the veterinary field. Nowadays, he’s been in practice for over 35 years. He has worked for large organizations such as P.A.W.S., as well as larger hospitals in Seattle and Kent. He has also owned a few other small practices in surrounding areas over the years. Being in practice for so many years, he was eager to find a hospital where he could work closer to home. Forest Hill Veterinary Hospital was a perfect fit.

Dr. Khera is a dedicated family man. You may have met his wife Amarjit (Ami) here at the hospital! She helps out from time to time, answering the phones and doing day-to-day tasks like filing or cleaning. He also has a huge extended family in Washington State. He loves to travel, lives a healthy lifestyle, and most of all, loves to work. When he is not seeing patients in the clinic, you’re bound to find him out working on the hospital and its property or at home in his yard and garden.

Brenda Goudy Veterinary Assistant/Office Manager

Brenda has a passion for animals and has been working with them since she was young. She started volunteering at the Blue Mountain Humane Society in Walla Walla, WA, when she was 12 years old. When she turned 18, she started working there full time. After a year, she became the kennel manager and started medical training under a local veterinarian for certification. She worked at BMHS for 8 years implementing foster programs, fundraisers, and an adoption program thru the Humane Society thrift store as well. She left the animal world for a few years while her husband was in school, but now she loves being back where she belongs: Working with animals everyday. What a blessing!

In her spare time, Brenda loves being outdoors: fishing, hiking, camping, and swimming with her husband and daughter. Her two oldest boys have flown the coop! She also travels back to eastern Washington often to visit and see all her old friends and family. She loves playing ball with her husky mix, Mabry, and snuggling on the couch for a movie with her munchkin cat, Storm.
